just a current question, I'm currently writing a plugin with LuisR14 that uses DirectX9 for display but however we feel that the opengl integrated plugin may be interfering with the plugin working properly, is there anyway to seperate opengl as a seperate plugin just for testing purposes of the directx9 plugin.

You can disable it, MainMenu->Plugins->2D/3D and choose it. Why are you saying there are porblems with it?

pretty much the problems are that ideas crashes when the 2D plugin is disabled and that opengl is still being used with the 2D plugin enabled

yes, there is a bug Ill try to fix in stable version.
